This hand has 9 points of motion, all controlled by only four Futaba S148 servos. This coupled kinematic (multiple four-bar linkage systems in series) design allows for easy control of the system when recording / programming a performance. Mechanical 'compliance' is part of the design.

 

The same hand can be assembled to be either the right or left hand
